Getting Started

This page walks you through your very first sign-in and what to expect. It takes about a minute.

Signing in

BongoShield uses email-first sign-in. That means you always start by typing your work email address, and BongoShield automatically figures out the right way to sign you in.

  1. Go to your organization's BongoShield sign-in page (your admin will share the link).
  2. Enter your work email address and continue.
  3. BongoShield routes you to the correct method:
    • Single Sign-On (SSO) — if your organization uses Microsoft (Entra ID), Google Workspace, or another supported identity provider, you'll sign in the same way you sign in to your other work apps. You may not need a separate BongoShield password at all.
    • Email and password — if your organization uses local accounts, you'll enter the password set for your BongoShield account.

One email, the right door

You never have to remember which sign-in button to press. Just type your email, and BongoShield takes you to the right place.

Your first daily question

Right after you sign in, you'll see today's security question. This is the heart of BongoShield.

  • It's a single multiple-choice question about staying safe online — spotting phishing, handling passwords, recognising scams, and similar topics.
  • A small countdown timer encourages you to answer promptly, but there's no need to rush.
  • Pick the answer you think is right and submit.

What happens after you answer

You... What happens
Answer correctly You earn points and see a short explanation confirming why it's correct.
Answer incorrectly You still see the correct answer and a clear explanation — then you continue. No penalty.
Run out of time You see the explanation and continue. No penalty.

Either way, you learn something and get on with your day. BongoShield is about learning, not punishment.

Points and streaks, at a glance

  • Correct answers earn points.
  • Answering correctly day after day builds a streak — and streaks are worth bonus points.
  • Your points place you on your organization's leaderboard, adding a bit of friendly competition.
