Points, Streaks & Leaderboard

BongoShield rewards good security habits. The more consistently you take part, the more you earn — and the better you get at spotting real threats.

Points

You earn points for positive actions, such as:

  • Answering the daily question correctly.
  • Answering quickly and correctly (a small speed bonus).
  • Keeping a streak going (see below).
  • Completing training modules.
  • Taking part in phishing awareness exercises.

Points only ever go up

You never lose points for a wrong answer or a timeout. Getting a question wrong simply earns zero for that question — and you still learn from the explanation. Security awareness at BongoShield is always about learning, not punishment.

Streaks

A streak counts the days in a row you answer the daily question correctly. Longer streaks earn bonus points at milestones — so it pays to keep showing up.

  • Miss a day or answer incorrectly, and your streak resets — but your total points stay exactly where they are.
  • Your current streak and your longest-ever streak are both tracked, so you can try to beat your personal best.

The leaderboard

Your points place you on your organization's leaderboard. It adds a bit of friendly, motivating competition — a nudge to keep your streak alive and stay sharp.

  • See where you rank among your colleagues.
  • Watch your position climb as you build habits over time.

Leaderboards are about encouragement, not pressure. Everyone benefits when the whole team gets better at spotting threats.

Badges

As BongoShield grows, look out for badges that recognise milestones like your first correct answer, long streaks, reporting phishing, and completing training. They're a fun way to mark your progress.
